We're learned that the bees have been removed from both the bedroom windows. The paint needs a bit of touch-up, perhaps, but we're no longer home to the hordes. Whew! The outside of the glass brick window should be finished off this week. The best news is that it seems possible to get the mezzanine floor repaired and refinished before we move at the end of ... this month! And to get an internet connection up and running. And we're assured that the remaining bits that we'll pay for (repairing damage from the leaking roof and painting the very high mezzanine ceiling) can be done before we call for our stuff from storage. We have a long list of Things To Do in that 8 weeks.
We've asked for our packing boxes to be delivered as soon as possible, so we can get started with that wonderful job. We've gotten rid of quite a bit of stuff already, but there will surely be more to come. Both our local Freecycle chapter and our local charity shop have been seeing a lot of us lately. Today we'll work on the sheds, fore and aft; this is probably stuff for the dump, another of our favorite places to visit.
We've asked to move the actual moving day forward to 22 September, but don't yet know if it's possible. This gives us time to take a vanload of household stuff to Condadeuil and be back here for a possible closing on 30 September. Still haven't heard if this is possible.
We don't yet have a date for the house inspection here, or for signing our first sale papers, but expect to hear about these in the next days.
