Replanning

This afternoon we discovered that Ed has been extremely optimistic in his assurances that everything would fit into the van. In fact, that's not been the case. He spent lots of time packing things tightly into the van without considering what still needed to be put in. And, after the movers left our options were severely limited. So we have been repacking a few accessible boxes, abandoning (probably offering to Freecycle) quite a lot of shelving that we will have to replace, mailing ourselves some things that are light and difficult to find, and making choices about other things that will stay behind. Before tempers were too frayed, we called it a day and took ourselves out for a nice Korean dinner. 

We hope for a good night's rest tonight. Tomorrow we will finish off stuffing the van and hope to get on the road in the early afternoon. We think we might treat ourselves to a night a a Hotel Mercure, rather than Formula 1 across the péage.
