It's a sale

A little bit of back-and-forthing this afternoon, but we have finally settled on a price, splitting the inspection estimate. A bit annoying, but we are still getting about 2.5 times what we paid for the house 14 years ago. And it's done and no more to worry now. Also we heard that the housing market has not picked up after the summer holidays in the way that it usually does, and that there is no one on the waiting list to see the house in the case the sale falls through.

This afternoon we finally got more packing paper, a bit late, since the kitchen is largely packed now. They brought more boxes, too, but we turned them down, since we've just been packing books in the bigger boxes and topping off with lighter stuff. Makes unpacking harder, of course, since the usual thing is to get the books onto the shelves and then work on the rest.
