The annual Fideliolaan barbecue happened Saturday evening. It's been a yearly event for the last five or six years and it's sad to think this will be our last one. It's a nice group of folks and we've enjoyed living here. All the neighbors in the group of eight facing houses are invited. We set up our tables and barbecues on the walk between the houses and have a nice dinner. This year our recently moved neighbors came, too, along with the new owners of their house. We had a nice evening, good food and company, and sat outside eating, drinking, talking, and laughing till quite late. Sunday was very quiet, though, as it took a bit of time to recuperate.
We woke this morning to an unexpectedly sunny day, which started us our in a better mood. And -- happy day! -- after lunch we had an offer from last week's second viewer . It was less than we'd like, but more than a 10%-under-the-asking-price sort of bid. We've come back 3,000 euros under our asking price and are waiting for their reply. There's a teeny possibility we could hear later today, but tomorrow seems more likely. Stay tuned ...
