The fourth section is on the wall to the left. (Pierre, if you're reading, you might remember helping us assemble all four sections of this in our Amstelveen living room.) Every time we put this together it's a reminder of how bad the design was, sigh, but the maple and parana pine are quite pretty. Ed's grandmother's clock will go on the lowered section on the right.
Ed started with the electrical work for the office today, slow work. And we're starting to clear the living room of excess shelving and building materials. With the room emptying and the shelving in place, it becomes easier to imagine that this is really a living room and not a storage depot. (While clearing out some of the living room stuff, Kay found a stack of IVAR shelves that hadn't been finished yet. Ed was very disappointed.)
Tomorrow we'll tackle the wallpaper again. Oh boy. Meanwhile the weather is gorgeous and we'd really rather be gardening.
