Thursday we celebrated Thanksgiving with a grand répas that kept Kaye busy cooking for a couple of days.
You can really see that Christmas is coming. Shops have put up their decorations. Groceries are full of holiday treats, wine, pâtés, pastries, etc. All very tempting and easy to come away with more high-calorie, high-fat goodies than you meant to buy.
The weather has turned cold and we've had our first snow, very early. This was the view from the mezzanine window this morning.
As you can see, the birds had already been busy. Some of this snow has melted but it will be topped up again tonight. Sub-zero temperatures at night and just a few degrees in the daytime. Brrr... Luckily the wind isn't blowing too hard, so we're fairly cozy inside.
