Made it to 2010

It's been a varied, if quiet, week around here, some sun, some gray, some rain, some dry, some cold, some warm. Today it's even trying to snow again.

Wednesday evening, we country bumpkins went off to the Big City (Limoges) to see a performance of Carmina Burana. Live music and dance, the performance was very enjoyable. The Opera House in Limoges reminded us both of Jones Hall in Houston, both outside and inside.

On New Year's Eve, we had a party for two and actually stayed up till midnight. We watched an old movie and munched tasty things.

Ed's started back to work on "projects." He's working now on finishing the bedroom walls where the new windows were installed. This room, where we never re-installed the heater, is quite cool, but seems less frigid now. It will look better once the missing walls and trim are in place.

You'll be happy to know that the last child born in the Charente in 2009 was named Michael-J, after you-know-who.

We wish everyone a happy and healthy 2010!
