And now spring is trying to spring

Last Tuesday we went to bed with lots of snow on the ground. Wednesday we woke to green. A bit of a shock. The weather was quite gray and raw, with lots of wind, but the icy roads cleared and we could get to the shops at last. Hooray! And today was beautiful, clear, sunny, and warm. Bulbs are coming up and shrubs and trees are budding out. Last week the sage plant had little to offer; today, it's full of small new leaves. All very amazing, but worrisome, since it could still turn cold again.

Further there's been not much happening. Kaye had the idea to write down what happened each day, so there would be something to write here, but the week is pretty blank. Ed continues to work on finishing the area around the new windows in the bedroom, a task that requires some patience and creativity.

We've started looking for a proper stove for the kitchen, but haven't found anything yet. There seems to be a hug gap in price (€3,000) between the Dream Stove and something cheaper that still offers some of the same features. Very depressing. Work in the kitchen is stalled, waiting for the new stove to be in place.
