We've had checkups for our teeth and ears. (All is well.) We went to an interesting piano concert in Limoges, a young artist/composer. The oldest music he played was Debussy, so that gives you an idea what it was like. Our car had another bearing replaced. Can you take all this excitement?
Work in the kitchen progresses. Some trim and baseboards have been installed. We found some lights for over the sink, but think we don't really like them all that much. Well, it's not that we don't like them, but we don't like them in that spot since they can't hang any further down and they look a bit awkward hanging on short cords.
We've also found a next fixture for over the kitchen table. We like this one, but are still debating the height. Kaye likes it like this; Ed thinks it should be higher. (Yes, we are still using the plastic garden table we bought just after we bought the house. One day we'll find a proper kitchen table.)
Sadly, we discovered one day that one of our parental trees was broken off close to the ground. Although we've had some high wind, it looks more like it got kicked or whacked with something. We're hoping that what's left will sprout, but we may have to replace the pecan tree.
Temps are a bit on the warm side and very wet weather continues, not hard rain, but constant light right, with only occasional bouts of sunshine. On the 26th, we were already about 20% over January's average rainfall. The farmers will be happy this summer.
