Rendered complete

So, the rendering/stuccoing is done now, leaving (we hope) the house more airtight in winter. Here's the kitchen window wall done and the dining room wall in progress, with the terrace door shutters set aside:

And here's the dining room wall more or less finished with the door shutters in place. The shutters for the bathroom window are still missing; they need to be trimmed slightly so they can be closed.

We asked them to leave any pretty stones exposed, which they did, but now it looks a bit like the wall has chicken pox. Oh well. The finish will dry lighter than it shows above, and the surface will take several weeks to cure completely. Apparently this finish is likely to be what was on the house, if not the part that was the stable, when it was built. Now we just need to get all the door/windows that used to be around the conservatory stripped and painted and reinstalled so that outside room will be more
complete. Any visitors coming???

We are very irritated with ourselves for missing a concert this afternoon. We've been waiting for months for this one, a group we like playing baroque music in a church with old frescos. It's actually the second time we've missed this combination. Two years ago we were off by a week, this time we were off by an hour. Next time ...

Our weather has improved finally, more or less back to normal although a bit windy. Now the grass is growing like mad.
