Visit #3 (23Apr-6May06)

Our first spring visit. Tricia, who is taking care of the garden, has done wonders. The camellias are blooming in the yard:

... and orchids are up around the hameau and on the South Forty:

The WC is on the way to being properly merged into the bathroom. The terrace shutters are off being painted, so the living room is very bright.

But ... the roof is leaking. The fioul heater has rusted badly and there's water on the ground around it. Mike and Sally hadn't noticed while they were there working.

After the WC is finished, they will start working on the Tardis, the small room with a pink sink a corner of the master bedroom. We've brought the leftover tiles from redecorating our Fideliolaan bathroom, white wall tiles and aqua mosaice tiles for the floor. Mike will install a macerating toilet, since there's no easy way to connect into the plumbing, and a small sink in the corner.

This is us enjoying a dinner on the terrace:
To answer the most common questions, yes, Kaye is wearing pink crocs and Ed has a bandage on his leg and we're about to eat some yummy curried pea soup.

Here's a view of our local Roman amphitheatre that we visited for the first time on this visit:
